Newspaper Delivery is one of the gentlest legal jobs: drive a van along a marked route and toss newspapers onto doorsteps. Low pressure, steady cash.

Overview

  • Type: Legal delivery job
  • Where: Vinewood Hills & Mirror Park neighbourhoods
  • Payout: Cash per completed route
  • Risk: None — fully legal

Requirements

  • No level needed — any player can take it.
  • Nothing to buy — the job gives you a van and papers to throw for free.

How to Start

  1. Go to the Job Centre and press E.
  2. Pick Newspaper Delivery.
  3. Follow the GPS to the news center — dress the work clothes and take the van.

📍 Locations

  • Job Centre (start): -552.53, -188.47, 38.22 — pick the job here.
  • News center: -599.24, -929.90, 23.85 (van + outfit here).
  • Deliver: marked doorsteps across two neighbourhood clusters.

Step-by-Step

  1. Dress the work clothes at the center.
  2. Take the news van and drive the marked route.
  3. Throw a paper at each marked house to complete the delivery.

What You Get & Where to Sell It

You're paid cash directly — no items to sell. Each delivery pays around $300–325, so complete the full route for the best total.

💰 Cost vs Reward

Amount
Investment (one-time) None — van and papers are free
Cost per run $0
Reward per run $300–325 per delivery
Break-even Instant — pure profit
After that Steady, low-pressure cash

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • The late penalty here is tiny, so it's forgiving for new players.
  • Line up your van with each house before throwing to avoid re-tries.
  • It's the calmest earner in the pack — a good first job while you learn the map.

Timer & Late Penalty

You get 6 minutes per delivery, plus 2 minutes of spare time if you run over. Going late costs −$5 per minute — by far the softest penalty of any side-job, which is exactly why this is the one to learn on. A full route is 30 marked doorsteps, and the job hands you the throwable papers for free along with the rumpo news van.

How It Compares to the Other Side-Jobs

Every job below starts at the same Job Centre NPC (-552.53, -188.47, 38.22), needs no level and no purchase, and none of them carry a police risk. The difference is pay, pace and how hard the clock pushes you:

Job Pay Timer Late penalty
Newspaper Delivery $300–325 per delivery 6 min (+2 spare) −$5 / min
Mobile Hotdog $50–150 per sale None —
Pizza Delivery $800–1,100 per delivery 5 min (+2 spare) −$50 / min
Bus Driver $800–1,100 per line 7–11 min (+2 spare) —
Forklifter $1,300 flat per load 4–6 min (+2 spare) −$150 / min
Fire Department $500–1,500 per fire 7 min (+2 spare) −$100 / min
Gardener $1,500 flat per garden None —
Trucker $1,500–4,000 per haul 10–12 min (+2–4 spare) −$50 / min

Reading it: Trucker has the biggest ceiling, Gardener has the best pay with no clock at all, and Forklifter punishes lateness hardest relative to its payout. Newspaper Delivery is the gentlest place to learn the map before you take on a timed haul.

FAQ

How much does Newspaper Delivery pay?

$300–325 in cash per completed delivery. That works out around $50 a minute, which makes it the lowest earner of the Job Centre side-jobs — the trade-off is that nothing about it can go badly wrong.

Do you need a level for Newspaper Delivery?

No. There is no level requirement, no EXP, and nothing to buy. Take it at the Job Centre NPC and the van, work clothes and papers are all provided.

How many houses are on a newspaper route?

Thirty marked doorsteps, spread across two neighbourhood clusters around Vinewood Hills and Mirror Park.

What happens if I run out of time?

You lose $5 per minute you are late. It is a token penalty compared with Forklifter's $150 a minute, so an overrun barely dents the payout.

What is the best beginner job on the server?

Newspaper Delivery for learning the map with no pressure, then Pizza Delivery once you are comfortable — it pays roughly three times as much for a similar loop.
