Dirty Hose is a cleaning company operating out of an industrial yard in east Los Santos. You take a contract off their job board, drive a company truck out to a filthy driveway, billboard or storefront, and blast it clean with a power washer until every last patch of grime is gone. Then you drive back and the supervisor pays you.
It is one of the most relaxing earners on the server — no police, no risk, no items to buy — and the money is clean cash, straight into your pocket, no laundering needed. There are 103 different contracts paying $1,500 to $13,000 each.

How to Start
- Drive to the headquarters and head for the changing room at
1015.5, -2281.42, 30.5. - Put on the work uniform. The job board will not open without it — you will just get "You must be wearing your work uniform." Everyone starts with the Trainee outfit.
- Walk to the job board and press
[E]. Up to 8 contracts are listed at once. - Pick one. Each card shows the location, what needs cleaning, the pay and how many people it takes.
- Get in a company truck. One spawns for you in the yard — you do not buy or bring your own. The power washer is handed to you automatically, so there is nothing to purchase.
- Drive out, clean everything, drive back, then talk to the supervisor to get paid.
A new contract appears on the board 30 seconds after someone takes one, so the board never stays empty for long.
Step-by-Step
- Get in the work truck — the task list tells you which one and marks it with a blip.
- Drive to the marked area. The contract's location is waypointed for you.
- Grab the power washer and start spraying. You have to be within 6.5 metres of a surface for the water to bite, and closer is faster.
- Clean every patch. A spot only counts when it is completely clean — the last few stubborn corners are what cost people their time bonus.
- Refill the tank at the truck whenever you run dry. Walk up to the tank on the back and
press
[E], it takes 5 seconds. - Drive the truck back to headquarters — do not abandon it, see the penalties below.
- Report to the supervisor and collect your pay, your bonuses and your star rating.
Can't find the last dirty patch? Press your Reload key and every remaining bit of dirt lights up. It has an 8-second cooldown, so use it when you are genuinely stuck rather than spamming it. The game hints this at you the first time a surface hits 75% clean.
The Water Tank
Your truck carries the water. The backpack tank gives you roughly 90 seconds of non-stop spraying before it runs dry, and a refill at the truck takes 5 seconds.
In practice you almost never spray continuously, so one tank covers a good chunk of a job — but on the big mansion driveways you will walk back to the truck several times. Park close to what you are cleaning. That single habit saves more time than anything else in this job.
At level 15 your tank lasts 20% longer, and at level 30 it lasts 30% longer.

The number on the job board is the base. What actually lands in your pocket depends on how you worked.

Damaging the truck also caps your rating at 4 stars, and losing it caps you at 3 — so a wrecked truck costs you the time bonus on top of the repair bill.
Star rating
The supervisor rates every job on how long you took against his estimate:
- 5 stars — you beat the estimate
- 4 stars — within 1.25× the estimate
- 3 stars — slower than that
Solo or Team?
This one surprises people. The base pay is split between the team, and the team bonus is applied to your share afterwards. On a $6,000 contract:

Solo pays the most per person. Teams pay more in total and finish much faster — a second washer nearly doubles the cleaning speed — so bring friends when you want to grind contracts back to back, and go alone when you want the biggest single cheque.
If you do bring a team, two people is the sweet spot: you get most of the speed and the smallest split.
Level Unlocks
You earn XP on every contract — roughly 16 XP per estimated minute of work, increased by every bonus you earn. Levelling gets you better pay, a better truck and gear.

The pay increases do not stack — only your highest one is applied. So at level 20 you are earning +15% on every contract, not +30%.

This is one of the cleanest starter earners on the server: zero investment, zero risk, paid in spendable cash. A new player can walk off the plane and start washing.
Tips & Common Mistakes
- Park the truck right next to the job. Your water tank is on the truck. Every refill walk eats your time bonus, and the time bonus is 15%.
- Use the Reload key when you're stuck. One patch of dirt in a corner will hold the whole contract open. Highlight it instead of circling the driveway squinting.
- Get close. The washer reaches 6.5 metres but cleans far faster up close. Spraying from across the yard feels efficient and isn't.
- Never abandon the truck. Walking back to HQ without it is a flat $1,500 off your pay and drops you to 3 stars. Even a badly damaged truck is worth driving home.
- Don't quit a contract halfway. Leaving an active contract suspends you from taking a new one for 10 minutes. Finish it, even badly.
- Do the big ones with a partner, the small ones alone. A $9,750 mansion driveway solo is a long grind; a $2,000 sign is two minutes of work and pays full.
- You keep the power washer. It is not taken off you when the contract ends, and it pushes objects and NPCs around. Use responsibly.
