Scuba Diving

Scuba Diving is a relaxed, legal treasure hunt: gear up, boat out to a marked ocean zone, dive for crates, and pawn whatever you find. There's no timer — you're only limited by your oxygen. Level up for longer air and rarer treasure.

Requirements

• Start at level 1 — anyone can begin. Diving XP unlocks better tanks and rarer loot.
• Some cash for your gear and a boat.

The oxygen refill tops your tank back to full. Higher-level tanks last longer underwater once you rank up your diving level.

How to Start

1. Go to the Scuba Diving ped on the south LS coast and open the diving menu.
2. Buy a scuba tank + an oxygen refill, and rent a boat (or use your own).
3. Optionally create a group to dive with friends, then select Start Diving.

📍 Locations

• Start ped (menu): -289.30, -2770.03, 2.20 (south LS coast, near the airport) — blip "Scuba Diving". Shop, pawn, boat rental and start/stop are all here.
• Boat rental spawn: -291.76, -2766.12, 0.68 (beside the ped).
• Dive zones: 10 ocean spots — one is marked on your GPS each dive.
• Sell: The Pawn Shop in the same diving menu (paid in cash).

Just follow the GPS to the assigned dive zone — a new one is picked each run.

Step-by-Step

1. Talk to the ped, buy a tank + oxygen refill, and rent a boat.
2. Start Diving — wait a short cooldown for a dive zone to be marked.
3. Boat to the zone, equip your gear, and dive down (depth + oxygen show on screen).
4. Find the highlighted crates, pick each one up, and open it for loot.
5. Watch your oxygen — refill or surface before it runs out.
6. Return to the ped, pawn your loot for cash, and return the boat for your deposit refund.

What You Get & Where to Sell It

Every crate holds a mix of items — from common junk to rare treasure. Take everything to The Pawn Shop (in the diving menu) to cash out. Rough values:

How much money total? A typical dive of a few crates pawns for roughly $100–350, minus your boat rental. The rare treasures are the real prize — they only drop at higher diving levels, so hold onto them.

💡 The four rare items (treasure map, ancient artifact, silver bracelet, bottle of rum) are special treasure-tier finds. Keep them rather than pawning junk — they're the reason to level up your diving.
