Pet Shop

By the RPBazzar teamUpdated September 15, 2026

Written from the live server data for this feature โ€” locations, recipes and prices are read straight from the systems setup, not estimated.

Roleplay is not all robberies and payouts. Out in the desert there is a small Pet Shop where you can walk in with cash and walk out with a dog trotting behind you. Pick a breed, give it a name, put a cowboy hat on it, and it follows you across the whole map โ€” into the city, into firefights, into your house.

Dogs are not just decoration either. A trained dog will attack on command, hold a position, sit, and bark. But only while it is fed and obedient โ€” let those bars run out and your dog stops listening, or worse.

Overview

  • Type: Lifestyle system โ€” this is something you spend money on, not a job
  • Level required: none
  • Where: the Pet Shop out in the Grand Senora Desert, off Route 68
  • What you get: a permanent pet you own, that you can spawn any time
  • Cost: $1,200 โ€“ $2,800 cash for the pet, then pocket change for treats

๐Ÿ“ Locations

Both counters sit in the same building, a few steps apart. A green shopping-bag blip marks it on your map, so you do not need the coordinates.

  • Pet Shop counter: 563.33, 2752.67, 43.04 โ€” third-eye it for "Open Pet Shop"
  • Treat Shop counter: 560.01, 2747.49, 43.1 โ€” third-eye it for "Open Treat Shop"

Commands & Keys

What you want Command Key
Open the shop and buy a pet /petshop โ€”
Spawn or despawn your pet /dogspawn O
Open the pet control bar /controlldog N
Buy treats /treatshop โ€”

Both keys are rebindable in GTA Settings โ†’ Key Bindings โ†’ FiveM.

How to Start

  1. Drive to the desert shop and third-eye the counter, or just type /petshop.
  2. Pick your pet from the grid โ€” six dog breeds and three cats.
  3. Type a name for it. That name is yours and sticks to the pet.
  4. Optionally add an accessory in the same purchase โ€” it gets added to the total.
  5. Confirm. The cash leaves your pocket and your new pet spawns right in front of you.

You own the pet permanently after that. You cannot buy the same one twice โ€” the shop will tell you "You already own this pet" โ€” but you can own several and switch between them.

Dogs

Breed Price
Husky $2,800
Golden Retriever $2,700
German Shepherd $2,500
Poodle $2,400
Bulldog $2,200
Pug $1,900

Cats

Cat Price
Grey Cat $1,300
Ginger Cat $1,300
Black Cat $1,200

Cats are companions, not guards. A cat will follow you and sit, but it cannot attack and cannot bark โ€” and unlike a dog, a cat never starves. If you want a pet that fights for you, buy a dog.

Accessories

Buy an accessory with the pet or later on, then equip it from the spawn menu. Your pet wears one at a time.

Accessory Price
Cowboy Hat $300
Captain Hat $290
Adventurer Hat $280
White Cap $250
Builder Hat $220
Safety Glasses $180
Green Glasses $180

Spawning & Despawning

Press O (or type /dogspawn) to open your pet list. Every pet you own shows as a card:

  • Click a card โ†’ that pet spawns next to you.
  • Click it again โ†’ the pet despawns.

Only one pet can be out at a time. If you try to spawn a second one you will be told to despawn the first.

The Three Bars

While your pet is out, press N to open the control bar. Three bars run down from 100:

Bar How fast it empties What happens at zero
Obedience Full to empty in 10 minutes Your dog stops obeying below 20 โ€” roughly 8 minutes in
Hunger Full to empty in about 2 h 45 m Your dog dies
Thirst Full to empty in about 2 h 45 m Your dog dies

Obedience is the one you actually manage. It drains fast on purpose โ€” a dog that has been out for ten minutes without a treat is a dog that ignores you. Hunger and thirst are the slow background pair, but they are the dangerous one: if either hits zero your dog dies, and you cannot spawn that same dog again for 30 seconds.

Cats do not starve โ€” only dogs die from an empty bar.

What Your Dog Can Do

Open the control bar with N. Every one of these needs obedience of 20 or more:

  • Attack โ€” aim at a target and your dog goes after it. Dogs only.
  • Move to โ€” send your dog to a spot you are aiming at.
  • Follow โ€” toggle following you on or off.
  • Sit โ€” your dog sits and stays put.
  • Bark โ€” a bark on command. Dogs only.

If obedience has dropped too low you get "Your dog is not obedient enough! Give it a treat." and nothing happens. Feed it and try again.

Treats

Treats are the whole maintenance loop. Buy them at the Treat Shop counter, then feed one from the control bar. Each treat refills obedience and tops up hunger and thirst.

Treat Spawn code Price Obedience Hunger Thirst
Big Treat big_treat $35 +100 +25 +15
Pup Cup pupcup $32 +50 +5 +28
Big Cookie big_cookie $28 +38 +18 +4
Tasty Meat tastymeat $25 +30 +20 โ€”
Yogurt yogurt $22 +25 +8 +20
Medium Cookie medium_cookie $20 +22 +12 +3
Fruit Slice fruit_slice $18 +18 +10 +22
Small Treat small_treat $15 +15 +8 +5

The Big Treat is the only one that refills obedience completely, from any level, for $35. Everything else is a partial top-up.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Cost vs Reward

Amount
Investment (one-time) $1,200 โ€“ $2,800 for the pet, plus $180โ€“$300 if you want an accessory
Cost per hour of use About $210 โ€” six Big Treats, one every ten minutes
Reward None in cash. A companion, a guard dog, and a very different way to roleplay
Reality check This is a money sink. Pets do not earn you anything โ€” they cost you.

Everything is paid in clean cash from your pocket, not from the bank โ€” so if you have been earning dirty money, run it through Money Wash first.

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Carry Big Treats, not small ones. One $35 Big Treat resets obedience from anywhere. Four Small Treats cost $60 and do less. Buy a stack before you head out.
  • Feed on a timer, not on failure. Top up around the eight-minute mark instead of waiting for your dog to ignore an attack command in the middle of a fight.
  • Watch hunger and thirst on long sessions. They look harmless for two hours and then kill your dog. A Pup Cup or a Fruit Slice covers thirst cheaply.
  • Despawn before you log off or go do a job where the dog will just get shot. It costs nothing to put it away and bring it back later.
  • Buy a dog if you want a guard, a cat if you want company. Cats cannot attack or bark, so a cat is purely a roleplay pet.
  • Don't buy the cheapest and regret it. Every pet is a separate purchase โ€” you cannot refund or trade one in, so pick the breed you actually want.

FAQ

How much does a pet cost on this server?

Dogs run $1,900 to $2,800 and cats are $1,200 to $1,300, all in cash. Accessories are $180โ€“$300 on top.

Where is the pet shop?

Out in the Grand Senora Desert off Route 68, at 563.33, 2752.67, 43.04. A green shopping-bag blip marks it on your map, and the treat counter is a few steps away in the same building.

How do I spawn my pet?

Press O or type /dogspawn to open your pet list, then click the pet's card. Clicking the same card again despawns it. Only one pet can be out at a time.

Why is my dog not listening to me?

Its obedience has dropped below 20. Obedience drains from full to empty in about ten minutes while your pet is out. Give it a treat โ€” a Big Treat refills it completely.

Can my dog die?

Yes. If hunger or thirst reaches zero, your dog dies, and you have to wait 30 seconds before you can spawn that dog again. Those bars take about 2 hours 45 minutes to empty, so it only happens on long sessions. Cats never starve.

Can I own more than one pet?

Yes โ€” you can buy as many different pets as you can afford and switch between them from the spawn menu. You just cannot buy the same pet twice, and only one can be out at a time.

Can my pet attack people?

Dogs can. Open the control bar with N, pick Attack and aim at your target. Obedience has to be 20 or higher. Cats cannot attack.

Can I name my pet?

Yes, you type the name during the purchase and it stays with that pet.
