Police / Sheriff

By the RPBazzar teamUpdated September 9, 2026

Written from the live server data for this feature — locations, recipes and prices are read straight from the jobs setup, not estimated.

Police is the counter-weight to every criminal job in the city. Clock on at Mission Row, kit up, and go to work: cuff and search suspects, collect and analyse evidence, run drug and gunshot-residue tests, write fines, impound cars and put people in Bolingbroke. You are paid a rank paycheck, and every fine you write banks into the department's own fund.

Overview

  • Type: Legal duty job — whitelisted law enforcement
  • Where: Mission Row PD, and the whole map
  • Payout: A rank paycheck. Fines and impound fees go to the department fund, not your pocket
  • Risk: You are the risk

Requirements

  • You must be whitelisted and hired as police or sheriff, then go on duty.
  • Progression is by grade, not XP. Some tools and areas are grade-locked — the evidence lab needs grade 2, jailing needs grade 1.
  • Open your duty menu with /policeaction or F6.

Required items: everything you need is issued at the armory, and most of it is free.

Item Spawn code Where to get Price
Handcuff cuff Armory, from grade 0 $0
Weapons weapon_pistol and up Armory — grade-gated $0–$400

How to Start

  1. Go to Mission Row PD and toggle on duty.
  2. Kit up at the armory — cuffs, a weapon and whatever tools your grade allows.
  3. Pull a cruiser or a helicopter from the department garage and start patrolling.

Step-by-Step

  1. Clock on at MRPD and grab your kit from the armory.

  3. On a suspect: cuff them (there is a minigame), then search them.
  4. Run a GSR test or a drug test if you need proof.
  5. Write a fine with /policebills, and/or impound their vehicle.
  6. Send them to jail at Bolingbroke — 5 to 60 minutes — or to community service.
  7. Collect evidence at the scene and analyse it at the lab to produce a report.

What You Get & How You Get Paid

There is no loot on this job. You earn a paycheck, and you take money off the criminals.

Duty What it does Money
Patrol Being on duty Your grade paycheck
Fines /policebills — bill a citizen, capped at $20,000 Paid from their bank into the department fund, plus an automatic +$500 if it is unpaid for 3 days
Impound Impound a vehicle; the owner pays to get it back $500–$20,000, out of the criminal's pocket
Cuff, search, escort, jail The arrest flow — prison for 5–60 minutes, or community service Enforcement, no fee
Evidence, GSR, drug tests Collect shells, blood and prints, then analyse them at the lab Builds the case

Fines and impound fees land in the department fund, managed from the boss menu — your paycheck is your personal take-home.

💰 Cost vs Reward

Amount
Investment (one-time) $0 — the armory issues your kit
Cost per run $0–$400 if you buy a heavier weapon
Reward per run Your grade paycheck; fines and impounds fund the department
Break-even Immediate
After that The department fund grows with every criminal you actually catch

Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Search before you fine. A search is what turns a stop into a chargeable case.
  • Light the scene up. The flashlight finds shells and blood, the UV light finds prints — most officers forget the second one.
  • Check cars for trackers. The bug detector and wire cutter exist because criminals use GPS trackers too.
  • Impound is the real deterrent. Losing the car hurts a criminal far more than a fine does.
  • Fines have a $20,000 ceiling and an automatic penalty after three days — you do not need to chase payment.
